Trouble with my new PC

My new PC has been running rock solid… until now! Last night I was browsing the web when suddenly the computer reset. I got up and started doing something else before it had rebooted. When I came back a few hours later, it was sitting at a black screen with nothing but a blinking white cursor in the top left corner. :/

I tried resetting and powering it down a few times, and it would often freeze up at the BIOS screen! Once I pressed the delete key to go into the BIOS setup screen, but once there it stopped responding. I reset the CMOS on the motherboard and tried again, and it stopped with a “CMOS Checksum Error” before it even displayed the CPU and memory test!

Seems to me like something has fried itself on the motherboard. Arrrrrrrgggggggggghhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!! :(
